Where in your home/apartment is your studio located?
My second or Guest bedroom is now my studio.
What equipment/tools do you use?
sewing machine, my beloved serger, pattern making tools, local organic fabric, low impact and natural dyes, washing machine!
Do you have an inspiration board, and can you tell us what is inspiring you now?
I don't have an inspiration board. I'm mostly inspired by long walks each day with David and my two dogs Nikki and Marcel. I also get many of my ideas from my travel and whatever books I'm reading.
How do you create best (e.g. do you listen to music while you create and if so what?)
Most the time I'm listening to NPR or Jazz. Now that the weather is warming up I can open my widow and watch the birds as they eat my strawberries.
List (3) of your favorite artists
If yours isn't, what would be your perfect studio?
I nice big space that opens up to an outdoor natural dyeing area. With a pond system or living machine that helped to clean all the waste produced from my artistic process. Basically, I would love to have a studio that was environmentally sustainable.
thanks andrea! (and puppies)
