I saw this great decorating trick in the Summer/08 issue of Wish Magazine and had to show you guys! I remember we always had wooden blocks holding up our windows like this as a kid to keep the house cool in the summer or those screens that you can get that keep out the bugs. But since we're pretty bug free here on the west coast (except for the odd evening moth), this is such a brilliant idea. I'm imagining a stawberry & rhubarb pie now cooling there on that window sil. oh that IS a very good idea, that i wouldnt have thought of on my own!
Oh, so much prettier than the wood scraps we used to have to hold up our old windows. Thanks for sharing such a fabulous idea!
How beautiful and creative! I have seen these iron decor items to decorate above doorways as well.
OMG that's genius! wow. such a great idea and really cute too!
Oh my, this is genius! This looks insanely better than the ugly objects I use to prop my windows open (...tent poles...*le sigh*).
Great idea but I live in a place that is rarely warm enough to open the windows.
Super cute! I'm totally ditching the perfectly measured broomstick handles for this! mmc
What a completely fantastic idea! So pretty and clever.
I liked this idea when - when I read about it Martha Stewart back in 2001! There were a few Martha ideas in Wish this month and I must say I was a little disappointed.
