Japanese washi masking tape brand mt tape is having a 'mt factory tour' event in Kurashiki located in Okayama prefecture from 15 -27 May 2012. It is their first factory open house event and I was happy to be one of the lucky participants.
The tour consisted of a walkthrough on the raw materials they use and the process of how the tapes are cut and packed for shipping. You can also see the detailed writeup on mt tape's website here.
Besides a tour around their factory, there were also a few event areas set up especially for this tour period. One of the highlights was the amazing mt store where they launched some of their latest products and limited edition tapes.
Here's a new series called 'mt CASA' for decorating your home.
There was also a wide variety of limited edition tapes only available during the tour.
