End of Summer: Dockside Dreaming

Guest post by Lily Ellis of Birch + Bird.

It seems our West Coast summers are far too fleeting and there's already a chill in the air come evening lately.  While the countdown 'til back-to-school is officially on, I'd still love to fit in at least one little getaway before we're back to the daily routine. A weekend away isn't quite in the budget but I'd be perfectly pleased to find myself on a quiet dock somewhere while the kids paddle around...

Did you smell that tinge of Fall in the air last night? I pretended not to. How will you be spending these last leisurely days of summer? School starts early this year but I'm hoping that our sunshine continues well into fall....fingers crossed!
Lily co-writes with Rachel over at Birch + Bird. Together they organize local handmade + vintage markets and run a small Etsy shop. Lily is also opening a new storefront in Abbotsford later this Fall. You can follow Birch + Bird on Facebook and Twitter.
