I love this wallpapered stairs idea from Sarah Moore Vintage (out of the UK). She papered the risers of her stairs using different samples of wallpaper she's collected applying with PVA glue and a coat of clear varnish. Sarah also just released a book, Vintage Home by Sarah Moore, which now has piqued my interest. Thought it would make the perfect weekend project! That is fantastic!
Very pretty. I just wander about cleaning it. I would think it would be for a low traffic set of stairs.

Remember several like this, from long ago. People later "improved" these stair cases with paints in colors one wouldn´t like to see on a coffin.
Thank you so much for sharing our stairs. They were covered in a coat of clear varnish and are standing up well to the best that our three children have thrown at them.
Best regards Sarah Moore.
do you think my husband would kill me if I ripped off the carpeting that is currently covering them? I love this look!
Sarah - thanks for the inspiration!
Janis - haha - well, i was wondering that myself with mine....
LOVE these stairs -- I'm a huge fan of vintage flower wallpaper and these risers are perfect. Kudos. So fun because I just did the same thing on risers at a friends house but I used vintage-looking Mexican tile -- it turned out very cool! Thanks for showing us these. :) Joanne
