Our holiday vignette guest today is Tamara Taggart! Tamara, a weekday anchor of CTV News and as many of you may know by now, has a knack for throwing beautiful parties, and decorating is a big part of that! So we were excited to see how she's decorating her home this holiday season. Let's take a look!
Tell us a bit about your photos!
I try to change things up a little bit each year, this year I relied heavily on the Flower Factory for decor. Our tree is always a Nobel Fir, we went a little smaller this year (mostly because we were so late getting it up)! There's really no rhyme or reason to the ornaments except they all represent things our family loves, memories, guitars, woodland creatures and gnomes. I love collecting glitter houses, bottle brush trees and critters that make me smile...and the more fairy lights the better. I wanted to keep it super simple in the family room, where we spend most of our time - three gorgeous eucalyptus wreaths with roses and cotton... I may never take them down. I saw a photo on instagram and asked Gloria at the Flower Factory to put her own spin on it. I just love them.
What's your favourite holiday tradition?
We have a full house on Christmas Eve, I just love the 24th of December. My brother and mom stay with us and we have a big group gather for lobster dinner, it's a night of family and friends and a lot of eating and laughter. The kids are so excited, putting out cookies and milk for Santa is magical - it's everything I dreamed of when I pictured my own family when I was growing up. Seeing it all through their eyes is the best gift.
Tell us three go-to gifts you'll be giving this year?
The Voluspa Prosecco Rose Candle is so good, my new favourite... a few people are getting this one!
Old Faithful by Pete Thorne is a gorgeous book featuring portraits and stories of senior dogs. My beloved Stanley is on page 66! It's a perfect gift for the dog lover in your life.
The Pave Horseshoe Necklace from Leah Alexandra Jewelry is so delicate and perfect for everyday. I bought my mom one... Okay - I bought myself one, too.
Thank you Tamara!
