Melt a little bit of wax according to manufacturer's directions (we bought microwavable wax--it saves so much time). Dip the string and button into your wax to coat entirely. Once coated, lay it on a paper towel to dry a few minutes.\u003Cbr \/\u003E3.) Once dry, anchor your newly fashioned wick in the center of your mug--adhering the button to the mug with a little wax if need be. Wrap the excess wick around a pencil balanced on the lip of the mug.\u003Cbr \/\u003E4.) Melt the rest of your wax. Pour in a capful or two of fragrance oil and mix with hot wax. Pour the mixture into your camp mug and let dry a few hours.\u003Cbr \/\u003E5.) It took me a while to wrap my mind around the \"how to\" because I wanted to create a braided full leather version as an alternative to the tedious and time consuming version of weaving beads in and out with bead cord between and around two leather strings. Once you get the hang of the braiding rhythm you will see how quickly these bracelets are done and how beautifully they will turn out!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003EFor one bracelet you will need:\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E– about 2 meter leather cord size 2mm depending on how many times you want to wrap the bracelet around your wrist (2meter length will wrap around 4x - you could do a shorter or longer version by taking less or more length)\u003Cbr \/\u003E– 1.5 meter leather cord size 1mm \u003Cbr \/\u003E– 6 meter leather cord size 1mm\u003Cbr \/\u003E– about 140 little beads with a large enough hole to thread onto your shorter 1mm leather cord piece.\u003Cbr \/\u003E– optional a little jewelry button or something similar from the bead shop\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EOf course you are free to choose different sizes of leather cord than I did but make sure there is a thinner and a thicker cord and you are able to thread your beads onto the thinner one.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ca name='more'\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-gtDjOT9iEto\/Ua7ypyiyFUI\/AAAAAAAA814\/cuWjUEquRXw\/s1600\/leatherbracelet1.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"\u003E\u003Cimg border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-gtDjOT9iEto\/Ua7ypyiyFUI\/AAAAAAAA814\/cuWjUEquRXw\/s1600\/leatherbracelet1.jpg\" \/\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EO.K. - here we go! The right one is the version with no button. This bracelet will just close with a loop on one end and a knot on the other end. Take your 2 meter long piece and fold it into half. Take your 1.5 meter long piece and knot it around your loop as shown in picture 1.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ENow fold the short end towards the middle and wrap your long end tight around all leather pieces to create a nice beginning. ALWAYS pull gently! 1 mm leather cord is delicate and you do not want to tear it. Please try on an extra piece how much you can pull before it breaks so you get a feeling on how much strength you can use while pulling. By the way - once these leather bracelets are done there is no danger of tearing anymore. The more you wear them the prettier and softer they will become. Place a knot as shown in picture 2. So - Please pull up your first bead. Now take your 6 meter piece cord and organize it into two equally long pieces. Don't cut it! You could roll it into little balls for the beginning to make handling easier. Please take a look back to picture 3. You can see my two organized balls of leather. It is very important to carefully follow each single step. In the beginning it's very likely that you get confused with over and under. No problem if that happens. Just carefully pull it apart and start over with the second bead. \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EYou always alternate braiding over and then at the next bead under the thin middle cord. You will quickly get the hang of it - I promise - it looks much more complicated than it really is! Make the same knot you did in the beginning shown on picture 4.Now take all endings and place a big overhand knot. Pull tight! Depending on the fit you could leave a little room and then do another knot and even another one as I did on the last picture. I've been admiring vintage botanical prints for some time and found some really pretty ones that I thought might work - nice for the summer?\u0026nbsp; I fixed them up a bit in photoshop and created pdf's to print out (thinking to share with you also if you so wish)!\u0026nbsp; These are all 8.5\" x 11\" making it easy for any printer.\u0026nbsp; I just taped mine up temporarily with gold striped washi tape till I can pick up some frames (probably white - like the RIBBA's from IKEA that I photoshopped the images into below). I used \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/pctvinylcorp.com\/grip-tac-adhesive\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Efaux marble contact paper\u003C\/a\u003E!\u0026nbsp; I know (pretty temporary) but I might purchase a glass top to cover it, or when it does start to peel (er, um melt), I'll just lay some new stuff!\u0026nbsp; (I was inspired by Catherine Therrien's project in April's \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.styleathome.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EStyle at Home\u003C\/a\u003E where she used washi tape). Laying it was super tricky and measuring it was worse, as anyone who has one of these tables knows, it's super heavy; so to flip over to trace out a nice circle was not going to happen.\u0026nbsp; But basically I just placed the paper (design face down) and then traced with a pencil the circle that way.\u0026nbsp; And then applied!\u0026nbsp; The paper I picked up (\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/pctvinylcorp.com\/grip-tac-adhesive\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EGrip-Tac\u003C\/a\u003E) was pretty bubble proof so really no bubbles to be had, but the ones that did appear I popped with a pin.\u0026nbsp; And that was it.\u0026nbsp; My faux marble table top! (Psssst! Cut two pieces of backing fabric, you want them to overlap about 1\" and  leave 1\" seam allowance. Finish the ends of the backing fabric by folding under twice, iron flat  and sew with matching thread. And well, here it is!\u0026nbsp; The only thing I had to buy was a plaque (to secure it to the wall better) and we were set!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ca name='more'\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003EMaterials Used:\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/ca\/en\/catalog\/products\/38006200\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EIKEA FRÄCK\u003C\/a\u003E accordian bathroom mirror\u003Cbr \/\u003EA clamp light, (mine was an old one from IKEA) but a small \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Power-Zone-Clamp-Light-PZ-300\/dp\/B000KKLPOU\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Ealuminum clamp light\u003C\/a\u003E would probably look even better (I will probably exchange mine out thinking about it now)\u003Cbr \/\u003EA wall plaque or piece of wood (I picked up mine at Michael's)\u003Cbr \/\u003E2 screws\u003Cbr \/\u003EPaint (optional)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-abJARSyvcBE\/UUu0UJ3MVCI\/AAAAAAAA6nk\/byUNnqcW6rg\/s1600\/IMG_0387.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"\u003E\u003Cimg border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-abJARSyvcBE\/UUu0UJ3MVCI\/AAAAAAAA6nk\/byUNnqcW6rg\/s1600\/IMG_0387.jpg\" \/\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003EHow-To:\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ERemove the mirror from the accordian portion of the fixture if attached (usually they are already apart when you buy them).\u0026nbsp; Our clamp light had one hole (in one part of the clamp) but not in the other - so we had to drill a hole through the other end in order for us to slip the clamp light in replace of the mirror of the accordion fixture. We slipped the clamp part of the light through the metal piece where the mirror would go, leaving the top part of the light clamp on the outside of the screw, so that it wouldn't fall down.\u0026nbsp; But you could also just have it slip in between the two. \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-HZbxmsP0wmw\/UUvVM5PZYvI\/AAAAAAAA6oU\/hg0BKi8GMsA\/s1600\/drill.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"\u003E\u003Cimg border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-HZbxmsP0wmw\/UUvVM5PZYvI\/AAAAAAAA6oU\/hg0BKi8GMsA\/s1600\/drill.jpg\" \/\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EAt this point you could paint the plaque if you wished it to be a  different color - however I chose to keep our's white to blend in with  the wall colour, but black would look pretty awesome too.\u0026nbsp; Also if you  wish, you could paint the accordion part (which I was thinking about)  but opted out to.\u0026nbsp; But I do love the look of a black plaque and a black  accordion - just like the ones found at \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/poppytalk.blogspot.ca\/2013\/02\/dispatches-from-california-nickey-kehoe.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ENickey Kehoe Interiors\u003C\/a\u003E - so I just might paint them later.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EOnce  you've decided to paint or not (and the paint is dry of course), you  can then attach the accordion part to the plaque by centering it -  marking holes where the screws will go with a pencil.\u0026nbsp; And then just  attach with the screws.\u0026nbsp; We did this so it's more secure to the wall and  won't eventually end up falling off due to usage.
